How did you learn about Montessori? – In 2006, I’d relocated to Madison, Wisconsin, and was looking for a job. Applied after seeing an ad in the paper, fell in love after Day One and the rest is history!
Where did you take your training? – Montessori Northwest, Portland, Oregon.
Any other degrees, schooling, or training of note? – AA in Liberal Arts from Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri; Parks and Recreation Management major at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.
What do you love about Montessori? – There is so much to love about Montessori, and I especially enjoy observing the child connect naturally to the environment while exploring the many brilliant purposes of the materials.
3 things you can’t live without – my family and friends (that can count as one right?), peaceful and loving energies, and caring for animals
Most favorite trip you’ve taken OR dream vacation – I’m someone who always feels called to journey, and have enjoyed so many adventures in several states and countries. But, I think my family’s beach house in Baja California, Mexic, has my heart.
Favorite local treat – farmers markets, good eatin’ at homegrown restaurants, floating at Capitol Floats, and kayaking at Willow Creek on Folsom Lake
