How did you learn about Montessori?: I attended a Montessori school when I was 4 and 5 years old. I rediscovered the beauty of Montessori on a trip to Italy after I graduated from college.
Where did you take your training?: Montessori Training Center of Minnesota (with Patty Shade, the Lower Elementary Guide at the Sacramento Bergamo Campus!)
Any other degrees, schooling, or training of note?: B.A in Biology and Anthropology from Knox College in Galesburg, IL; Masters in Education from Loyola University in Maryland
What do you love about Montessori? Loving to learn in the most natural way!
3 things you can’t live without: family, laughter and (since moving to California) California!
Most favorite trip you’ve taken OR dream vacation: Italy for finding my path; Oahu for celebrating my family.
Favorite local treat: An Elementary Montessori program for my daughter – 💕 Bergamo!
One rule you live by: As my sister taught me “saw the log in front of you” (do your very best in every job that’s given to you no matter how big or small)
Favorite quote:
For the children and the flowers.
Are my sisters and my brothers
Their laughter and their loveliness
Could clear a cloudy day
Like the music of the mountains
And the colours of the rainbow
They’re a promise of the future
And a blessing for today
